Back-up....

Well it was bound to happen. As long as I can remember I've heard about how computers like to crash and burn. In the process they take the person's life with them because everything they do is some how connected to that computer. Whether it be banking online, writing essays for a course at university, keeping every email ever sent to them, organising and creating lovely family photo albums, downloading tons upon tons of music files for their Ipod etc. The list just goes on and on.

Sunday night our computer did the unthinkable. It crashed and burned! I have since replaced with a new unit and will attempt to retrieve materials from the old one. We can only hope that this is possible. What have I learned? Well there is a reason they sell stand alone back-ups and we will be buying one next week. I didn't buy it immediately because it was already a very expensive lesson learned.

So I say to all of you back-up, back-up, back-up.... Coming from me that could mean a lot of things but in this case I think you know what I'm talking about.
